We have been working hard to bring what we feel is one of the best fitting and performing front mount intercooler kits to the market for the 2015+ STI. Our kits feature a high quality 600 - 650 hp rated 22"x12"x3.5" intercooler core. Our 650 hp core intercoolers have been taken to 800+ hp with no problem, so rest assured knowing that these cores will make big power, but also are small enough to reduce / eliminate turbo lag. Mated to this core are CNC'd billet aluminum end tanks to maximize airflow while still looking as smooth as they'll flow!
Our 2015+ STI FMIC kit was designed to work / fit around the Cobb intake and air box due to the amount of people running this intake setup. This kit should be compatible with most intakes on the market, though we do not guarantee fitment with any intakes other than OEM and Cobb.
Another thing we kept in mind was the fact that there will be quite a few people who wish to run speed density, so all of our FMIC kits will include a SD air temp bung pre-welded and block-off NPT plug so that customers don't need to purchase another pipe if they switch to SD in the future, or grind down our finished powdercoat to weld their own bung on. This way all customers will have the option to chance to SD at their convenience!
We have been using Tial products with all of our turbo kits and intercooler kits for years without any problems and believe all of their products are top notch. We wish to continue to the trend with the '15+ STI kit, so all kits will come standard with a Tial 50mm V-band flange welded in place for the BOV / BPV. However, we realize that a large percent of customers have already bought an aftermarket, OEM fitment 2-bolt BPV, or may not want to purchase a BPV / BOV at all. Because of this we designed a 50mm V-band to 2-bolt BPV adapter, opposite from other BPV adapters on the market. The guys from around the shop put forth their input on how they liked the OEM 2-bolt flange, and unanimously agreed that the 2-bolt flange is big and bulky, and would rather not clutter the engine bay for those running a Tial piece. With this design, customers will see a more aesthetically pleasing product with performance flowing as smooth as it looks!
This kit is designed to use the factory BPV, but we recommend upgrading to an aftermarket piece of possible. We strongly suggest using the Tial QRJ BPV for recirculated usage, or Tial Q / Tial QRJ for atmospheric vent.
A great amount of time was spent making sure we could manufacture such a well-fitting, aesthetically pleasing kit. No cutting or trimming is required anywhere, not even the bumper! Our kit was designed to accommodate all OEM components, but also be compatible with most aftermarket parts like intakes, recirc valves etc. We also planned to make sure this kit is compatible with our rotated turbo kit that we plan to release.

The FMIC kit lowered intake manifold temps by roughly 65 degrees, equating to lower temps than the intake air temps during some portions of the dyno runs! Dyno pulls were consistent during back-to-back pulls, unlike TMIC equipped cars that are prone to engine knock. By reducing the air temps, we are able to reduce knock, which means the ability to turn the timing and boost up, which equates to more power gains!
