If you're in search of a bit more refinement than our Stage 1 kit can offer, then this Stage 2 kit may be right up your alley. This kit includes our Shifter Rocker Upgrade (1922), Short Throw Adapter (1923), Shifter Centering Spring Upgrade (1918), Shifter Base Bushings (1914), ESCO stainless core, insulated shift knob (1886), and Shift Linkage Bushing Upgrade (1881). After installing this kit, you should notice a substantial change in shifting feel. Expect narrower gates, shorter throws, a substantial reduction in that "mushy" feeling at the end of shifts, as well as snappier centering action, and a knob that feels great and won't burn your hand on those scorching summer days.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1: If you are using an FK8 Shifter in your Sport or Si, the 1923 Short Throw Adapter will not work on your shifter. Instead of this kit, you should purchase the Stage 2 kit for the CTR, which omits the 1923 Short Throw Adapter
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Use of the ESCO knob on the Sport or CTR model may result in improper fitment of the shift boot under the shift knob. This can be corrected using one of our 1924 Boot Collar Upgrade kits.
ABOUT THE ACUITY SHIFTER ROCKER UPGRADE FOR THE 10TH GEN HONDA CIVIC
This part can be appreciated as much during street driving as at the track. Altered geometry reduces the mechanical advantage of the rocker to provide narrower, stiffer gates. Much like how a short throw adapter reduces the distance in the forward and reverse direction while changing gears, this Shifter Rocker Upgrade reduces the distance in the left and right direction while changing gears (such as 2 to 3, 4 to 5, etc). The OEM plastic has been replaced with billet 6061-T6, making for a much stiffer part, meaning less flex when shifting forcefully and better feedback from the transmission during shifts. Additionally, ACUITY's unique joint designs at the main pivot and spherical joint incorporate low-friction, self-lubricating bushings that are designed to reduce friction in the shifter while naturally eliminating any gaps between parts in the joint. This allows the joint to wear-compensate over time, meaning the rocker will age gracefully and provide many years of use, abuse, and happy shifting.
ABOUT THE ACUITY SHORT THROW ADAPTER FOR THE 10TH GEN HONDA CIVIC
The Short Throw Adapter reduces the mechanical advantage of the shifter to provide shorter, stiffer gear throws. The extender is turned and milled from 300 series stainless steel, making it strong and extremely corrosion resistant. Acuity's unique clamping design ensures the extender will stay fastened, even with a modest amount of torque. Each kit includes an alcohol wipe and grease packet so the spherical joint can be cleaned and re-greased before installation.
ABOUT THE ACUITY SHIFTER CENTERING SPRING UPGRADE FOR THE 10TH GEN HONDA CIVIC
With a notably increased preload and nearly identical rate, the ACUITY Performance Shifter Centering Spring increases the centering load in neutral without significantly increasing the force required to locate the far gates (e.g. 1/2 and R). The end result is a sportier shifting feel without an increase in driver fatigue or a reduction in drivability. This spring is designed to provide a 100% increase in spring force on the Sport model and a 20% increase in spring force on the Si and CTR. This translates to about a 50% increase in centering force at the knob in the Sport model and about a 10% increase at the knob in the Si and CTR.
ABOUT THE ACUITY SHIFTER BASE BUSHINGS FOR THE 10TH GEN HONDA CIVIC
The OEM base bushings on most Hondas and Acuras are made from highly compliant rubber. Thanks to leverage, the small amount of compliance the rubber adds equates to a very noticable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during shifts. This bushing kit replaces the OEM rubber bushings with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum making for a much more decisive shift, even with a stock shifter. As an added touch, the bushings are coated in a purple Type 2 anodized finished, laser etched, and paired with class 12.9 flat-head mounting bolts.

ABOUT THE ACUITY ESCO SHIFT KNOB FOR THE 10TH GEN HONDA CIVIC
Heavy shift knobs have long been regarded as a way to improve shifter feel by many tuners. The truth is, a heavy knob simply hides slop in a worn or flawed shifter and shift linkage. ACUITY designed the ESCO with the hopes of providing a more refined shift that makes the driver feel more connected to the transmission, and ultimately the car. This was done by use of a barrel-shaped acetal outer shell and a large, stainless steel threaded core. This gives the knob a mid-weight at around 172g...about the same as an aluminum knob of a similar size. The difference between the ESCO and an aluminum knob becomes most apparent on hot summer days. The ESCO knob remains cool tot he touch on days when an aluminum knob would be scolding hot. To top it all off, ACUITY has added epoxy filled lettering to the top of the knob and an engraved logo at the knob's base. The finished appearance is simply classic, showing obvious inspiration from supercars of years gone by. For the best shifting experience, pair your ESCO knob with ACUITY's shifter linkage bushings and/or performance shifter.
