The K-Tuned Big Tube Swap Header was designed for more aggressive K-Swap cars with modified naturally aspirated engines that are looking to reach full power potential. Engine modifications like bigger cams, ported cylinder heads, increased compression ratio and/or increased displacement all breathe heavier, so using a small header on these engines just doesn't make any sense. A bigger header will increase efficiency by opening up the exhaust path, offering reduced restriction and allowing exhaust gases to flow out of the engine faster, which in turn will make more power. The best part is, this header has an affordable price tag and makes excellent power that is on par with some of the much more expensive custom options. It is also an off the shelf production header so it is ready to go with no wait time.
Our Big Tube Header features a proven stepped 4-2-1 Tri-Y design with extremely smooth merge transitions that improve exhaust flow. We started with 48mm primaries that progressively move into 50mm, then 54mm secondaries and finally a 75mm or 3” exit. It is assembled with mandrel bent, T304 stainless steel tubing and is beautifully back purge tig welded to keep the welds super clean, ensure proper penetration and weld strength. We decided to leave the header exit unfinished, giving the installer open options on what is used for the final connection to the exhaust piping. Please note that a flex pipe or a donut flange with spring bolts must be used for proper installation. For best results we suggest mating this header to 3" exhaust piping and a straight through K-Tuned muffler. We want to make it very clear that this is a high quality header not a cheap Chinese replica.
